Software Usage Instructions

Import video files: Click the "Select File" or "Select Folder" button to import the videos to be processed. Batch import of a single file, multiple files, or an entire folder is supported, and mainstream video formats such as MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, TS, FLV, and WEBM are compatible.
Select a processing mode:
- Smart intro/outro removal: Automatically detects the black-screen positions of the intro and outro in each video and trims them, outputting a video with the intro and outro removed
- Remove intro/outro + merge: After trimming the intro and outro, intelligently groups episodes by directory and merges them in natural order into a complete final video
- Detection only: Only analyzes and outputs the detection results (detection_results.json), without actually trimming the video, making it easy to review before processing
Configure detection parameters:
- Reference intro/outro duration: After you enter an approximate duration, the tool will prioritize matching black-screen points near that time to improve recognition accuracy
- Search range and minimum black-screen duration: Adjust the black-screen detection window and threshold to fit different intro and outro lengths
- Confidence threshold: By default, no trimming is performed when below the threshold, preventing accidental deletion of main content
Configure output options:
- Output format: Formats such as MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, TS, FLV, and WEBM can be selected
- Video encoding: Supports software encoding and hardware-accelerated encoding such as NVENC and QSV
- Output directory: Specify where the processed results will be saved
Start processing: Click the "Start Processing" button, and the tool will automatically complete detection, trimming, and merging according to the selected mode, while displaying progress and logs in real time.
View results: After processing is complete, you can view the trimmed or merged videos in the output directory. In detection-only mode, you can view the generated detection results file.

A: Smart intro/outro removal only trims the intro and outro of individual videos; Remove intro/outro + merge also merges the same group of episodes by directory into a complete final video after trimming; Detection only does not modify the video and only outputs the detection results file, making it easy to review the trimming positions before deciding whether to process.

A: The tool uses a black-screen detection algorithm to analyze black-screen periods at the beginning and end of the video to locate the intro and outro. If reference intro/outro durations are entered, it will prioritize matching near the corresponding times, making recognition better aligned with the actual content.

A: The tool intelligently groups videos by folder (directory), treats videos in the same directory as one series, and trims them in the natural order of their file names (for example, Episode 2 comes before Episode 10) before merging them into one complete file.

A: The input side supports many common formats such as MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, TS, FLV, and WEBM; for output, you can choose the corresponding format and codec, and hardware-accelerated encoding such as NVENC and QSV is supported. After configuring hardware acceleration, processing speed will improve significantly.

A: When the black-screen confidence is below the threshold, the tool will not trim by default to protect the main content. You can try: 1) entering the reference intro/outro duration; 2) appropriately widening the search range; 3) adjusting the minimum black-screen duration and confidence threshold; you can also use "detection only" mode first to verify the positions before formal processing.

A: Video detection and re-encoding use a certain amount of memory and CPU resources. Recommended: 1) enable hardware-accelerated encoding; 2) appropriately lower the output quality; 3) process videos in batches; 4) close other resource-intensive programs while processing.

A: No. All detection, trimming, and merging are completed on the local device. Video files will not be uploaded to the server, making the process more secure and better protecting your privacy and data.
