Software Usage Instructions

Select SRT subtitles: Click the select button or drag an SRT file to the upload area. You can also switch to pasting subtitles or loading sample data.
Confirm the output format: Choose DOCX, DOC, or TXT format. DOCX is suitable for further editing in Word, WPS, and similar software.
Set document formatting: Choose the font, font size, line spacing, and spacing after paragraphs, and set whether to use the file name as the document title.
Select the subtitle structure:
- Continuous paragraphs: Organize subtitles into a readable transcript.
- Subtitle segments: Preserve the independent structure of each subtitle entry.
- Table mode: Generate a table by number, timecode, and subtitle content.
Configure processing options:
- Keep timecodes: Output subtitle time information in the document.
- Keep sequence numbers: Keep the original SRT numbering for easier proofreading.
- Merge consecutive lines: Merge multiple lines within the same subtitle block into one line.
- Remove HTML tags: Clean up formatting tags such as and in the subtitles.
- Split by pauses: Automatically split paragraphs based on subtitle time intervals.
Save settings: Click “Save Settings” to store commonly used conversion parameters and automatically restore them when you open the tool later.
Start conversion: After entering the processing step, click “Start Conversion”; the tool will parse each file and generate documents one by one.
Download results: After conversion is complete, you can download the first result, or click “Download All Results ZIP” to get the batch conversion files.

FAQ

A: Currently, SRT subtitle files are mainly supported. SRT includes sequence numbers, timecodes, and subtitle text, making it suitable for conversion into Word documents, transcripts, or proofreading tables.

A: DOCX is a standard Word document, suitable for preserving formatting; DOC is a compatible document format, suitable for opening in some older software; TXT is plain text, suitable for extracting subtitle content for further processing.

A: Yes. Check “Preserve timecodes” in the conversion settings, and the document will output the start and end times of each subtitle, making it easier to compare against the original video for proofreading.

A: Continuous paragraphs are suitable for organizing course transcripts, interview transcripts, and meeting transcripts; subtitle segments are suitable for preserving the original subtitle structure; table mode is suitable for proofreading, translation, and reviewing subtitle content line by line.

A: By default, the output file keeps the original SRT file name and only replaces it with the selected document extension. If a duplicate name is found, a number will be automatically added to the file name to avoid overwriting results.
