Software Usage Instructions

1. Select Word documents: Click the upload area to select the .docx files you want to format, or drag and drop files into the upload area. You can select multiple DOCX documents at once. The interface will display the first 20 files, and all selected documents will be processed.
2. Select a formatting scheme: Choose General Document, Official Document Formatting, Thesis Formatting, Business Report, Manuscript/Manual, or Cleanup First based on the document type. You can still adjust each parameter after selecting a scheme.
3. Adjust formatting parameters:
   • Page settings: Set paper size, orientation, margins, headers and footers, and page number position.
   • Heading recognition: Recognize Word built-in heading styles, and support numbering formats such as Chapter X, I., (I), 1.1, and 1.1.1.
   • Font styles: Set the Chinese font, Western font, font size, color, and bold style separately for the document title, headings level 1 to 4, and body text.
   • Paragraph formatting: Set alignment, first-line indent, spacing before and after paragraphs, and line spacing.
   • Tables and images: Standardize table fonts, bold table headers, center images, and limit image width and height.
   • Document cleanup: Delete consecutive blank lines, compress consecutive spaces, standardize punctuation, delete comments, accept revisions, and clear metadata.
   • Table of contents: Insert a table of contents at the beginning of the document based on the recognized heading levels.
4. Save or import configuration: Click “Save Settings” to remember the current parameters; click “Export Configuration” to save them as a JSON file; next time, you can use “Import Configuration” to restore the parameters.
5. Start formatting: After entering the “Process & Download” step, click “Start Formatting”. The tool will process all documents according to the current settings and display progress, statistics, the document outline, and the processing log.
6. Download results: A single document will be downloaded directly as a processed DOCX file; multiple documents will be packaged as a ZIP download. Output file names will be kept as close to the original file names as possible, and a numeric suffix will be added automatically if duplicate names occur.
