Software Usage Instructions

Select subtitle files: Click the "Select Subtitle File" button and choose the SRT or VTT subtitle file you want to translate. Both single-file translation and batch translation modes are supported.
Configure API settings:
- API URL: Enter the API endpoint URL of the translation service
- API key: Enter a valid API access key
- Model name: Specify the translation model to use
Select the target language: Choose the target language from the drop-down menu. Multiple languages are supported, including English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and you can also choose a custom language.
Set the bilingual display mode:
- Original on top, translation below: The traditional bilingual subtitle display style
- Translation on top, original below: Highlights the translated content
- Side-by-side display: Displays the original and translation side by side on the same line
Adjust concurrency settings: Choose an appropriate concurrency level based on the API service performance. It is recommended to start testing with 3 concurrent requests.
Start translation: Click the "Start Translation" button, and the tool will automatically process the subtitle file and generate a bilingual version.
Download results: After translation is complete, you can download a bilingual subtitle file containing both the original and translated text. Batch translation supports downloading as a ZIP package.

A: Bilingual subtitles display both the original text and the translation within each time segment, making comparison and learning easier; regular translated subtitles only display the translated content. Bilingual subtitles are especially suitable for language learning, teaching, and scenarios where the original text needs to be retained.

A: Original on top, translation below is suitable for comparing and understanding while learning a foreign language; translation on top, original below is suitable when you mainly read the translation and occasionally refer to the original; side-by-side display saves vertical space and is suitable for devices with smaller screens.

A: Currently, the two mainstream subtitle formats SRT and VTT are supported. The SRT format has good compatibility, while the VTT format supports more styles. After translation, the original format and timeline will remain unchanged.

A: The tool uses professional AI translation models optimized for subtitle translation. It supports custom API configuration and can use different translation services. We recommend choosing a higher-quality translation model and adjusting translation parameters based on the content type.

A: You can appropriately increase the number of concurrent tasks to speed up processing, but you need to consider the limitations of the API service. We recommend testing a suitable concurrency level with a small number of files first; typically, 3-5 concurrent tasks are relatively stable. For very large files, batch processing is recommended.

A: The tool has a built-in retry mechanism, and network errors will be retried automatically. If failures persist, please check: 1) whether the API configuration is correct; 2) whether the network connection is stable; 3) whether the API service is functioning normally; 4) whether the subtitle file format is standard.
