Software Instructions
- Pace Conversion: In “Pace Conversion,” select the input unit, enter a pace or speed value, and click “Calculate Conversion Result” to view results in units such as minutes/kilometer, minutes/mile, seconds/100 meters, kilometers/hour, and miles/hour.
- Use Sample Data: Click a common pace button to quickly fill in sample values such as 3:30, 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00, making it easy to check conversion results or use them as training references.
- Race Goal Calculation: In “Race Goal,” you can choose “Pace to Time” or “Goal to Pace.” Enter an average pace and distance to calculate finish time, or enter a target time and distance to work backward to the required average pace and speed.
- Training Zone Calculation: In “Training Zones,” enter a benchmark pace and select marathon pace, lactate threshold pace, easy run pace, 5K race pace, or 10K race pace. The system will generate zones for recovery runs, easy runs, marathon pace, lactate threshold, interval runs, and sprints.
- Segment Pace Table: In “Segment Comparison,” set the total distance, segment interval, and pace strategy to generate each segment’s pace, segment time, cumulative time, and remaining distance, suitable for checking during a race.
- Treadmill Speed Conversion: Enter treadmill speed to view the corresponding pace, or enter a target pace to view the recommended speed. After setting the incline, an equivalent pace reference will be provided.
- Save and Copy: Click “Save Settings” to keep frequently used input parameters, and click “Copy Results” to copy the current conversion, race, training, or segment results.
FAQ
A: Pace is the time required to complete a unit distance, for example, 5:00/km means 5 minutes per kilometer; speed is the distance covered per unit time, for example, 12 km/h. This tool can automatically convert between the two.
A: Go to “Race Goal,” select “Goal to Pace,” enter your target finish time, and choose the full marathon. The system will calculate the required average pace, corresponding speed, and segment references.
A: Training zones are used to distinguish intensities such as recovery runs, easy runs, tempo training, and interval training. Different zones correspond to different training purposes and can help structure weekly training.
A: The formula is pace (min/km) = 60 ÷ speed (km/h). For example, a treadmill speed of 12 km/h corresponds to a pace of 5:00/km.
A: The split table is suitable for race planning, long-distance training, and pace review. You can view cumulative time by every 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km to help control your rhythm.
A: Different units are used in running training and events, such as min/km, min/mi, s/100m, min/400m, and more. Displaying multiple units makes it easy to compare data for road running, track training, and imperial units.
